Our company
A Bruneian-owned, multi-discipline services company, founded in Tutong in 1970 and now based in Seria.
Established 1970
Syarikat Haji Yacob Tarudin started from humble beginnings in Tutong. In 1970 the business was formalised there as Syarikat Haji Yacob Tarudin dan Anak-Anak, wholly owned by a Brunei Bumiputera. On 24 August 1987 it was formally converted to Syarikat Haji Yacob Tarudin, taking over the original business. It is fully owned and managed by Bruneians.
We started small and have grown into a general contractor trusted by government departments and Brunei’s major oil and gas companies. Our work today covers building maintenance, grounds and landscaping, waste collection, manpower supply, transportation, earthwork and agricultural works.
Our aim is to deliver quality work on time, with no compromise on health, safety and the environment, and to be the service provider clients call first.
Where we are going
To be our clients’ first choice for outdoor and facility services: a company we are proud of, known for being the safest and most efficient, and delivering excellent service with no compromise on Health, Safety and Environment.
How we get there
To create outdoor spaces that are as functional and well kept as the inside of a home, and to win and keep our customers by delivering every service on time, aiming for 100% customer satisfaction.

Growing with Brunei
From humble beginnings in Tutong, the company has grown into an active part of Brunei’s local business development. Most of our staff are local Bruneians, and we bring in specialist skills where the work needs them.
More than 5,000 people have worked with us over the years, and many of our hires come recommended by clients and partners we have worked alongside.

Giving back
Our crews live and work in the same towns they keep clean, so the community around us matters to the business. Over the years we have made contributions to local causes, and we set time aside to thank the staff who keep our services running.
One of those causes is close to home. During Ramadan, we joined other local donors at a charity event run by the Kampung Pandan ‘C’ village consultative council, where 30 orphans in the Belait District received donations ahead of Hari Raya.
It is a small part of what we do, but it is one we are proud of, and something we want to keep doing as the company grows.

A symbol of continuity
The logo was designed by the company’s owner and key people. Its simple design stands for continuous sustenance and prosperity.
