Learn on the job
Our experienced workers train new employees, so you gain skills across grounds maintenance, tree cutting, transport, waste collection and more.
Every new employee completes our in-house induction, run by our safety department. It covers working conditions, procedures, emergency response and the tools and equipment for each task.
Key personnel are sent to qualified external trainers for certified courses that match their role, and certificates are renewed when they expire.
Roles we hire for
Grounds & landscaping
Grass cutters, weeders, gardeners and weedicide sprayers.
Tree cutting
Chainsaw operators, crane operators and tree cutting crews.
Drivers & collection crews
Drivers and crews for transport, hire and refuse collection routes.
Supervision & HSE
Supervisors, foremen, permit holders and HSE focal persons.
Workshop
Mechanics and assistant mechanics for our vehicles and machinery.
Office
Administration, human resources, accounts and procurement.
When we provided security services, SHYT employed more than a thousand security personnel and became the first company in Brunei Darussalam to hire women as security officers, with the same training as the men. Other organisations soon followed.
